Sisak is a town on three rivers that flow into one another. Lonja flows into Kupa and Kupa flows into Sava! The Old Town fortress is located at the estuary of Kupa and Sava and it can tell you a story about one of the biggest victories over the Turkish army.
Sisak used to have several names, as you can see on the town’s history ring. The present name comes from the Roman term Siscia.
