Pula is the largest town and port in Istria. It is best known for the Arena. It is the sixth largest Roman amphitheatre in the world. According to a legend, Pula was founded by Argonauts fleeing the ships of the king of Colchis. The Argonauts were heroes in ancient Greece who had to perform difficult tasks to prove their courage.
